Core Principles
- Local configuration: Camera settings, saved grids, and quiet-hours settings are stored on your device.
- Direct camera traffic: Snapshot polling, RTSP streaming, and availability checks go directly to the cameras or RTSP endpoints you configured.
- No account system: The app does not require a login to use your local camera setup.
What Security Center Stores
Security Center stores app state locally in UserDefaults, including:
- Camera names and connection details.
- Usernames and passwords entered for camera access.
- Saved grid layouts and grid assignments.
- Grid picture style preferences.
- The selected sidebar item.
- Quiet-hours settings.
Network Use
The app may connect over HTTP, HTTPS, or RTSP depending on the camera type and feed mode you configured. These connections are used to fetch Reolink snapshot images, open live RTSP streams, and probe whether a camera is reachable.
During quiet hours, those camera requests are intentionally paused.
Import and Export
If you export your configuration, the generated JSON file contains the same app model used for local persistence. If you share or store that file elsewhere, that is your action and outside the app's control.
What Security Center Does Not Do
- It does not require cloud synchronization to function.
- It does not use ads or third-party ad SDKs.
- It does not maintain a hosted service for your camera feeds.
- It does not require an account wall between you and your cameras.
Children's Privacy
Security Center is not designed to collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes in a material way, the update date on this page will be changed and the revised policy will be published with the project documentation.
