Privacy Policy

Your screenshots stay yours.

Screen Snip is designed as a local-first screenshot utility. It does not use the network, does not run analytics, and does not send your images or usage data to external services.

Last updated: March 19, 2026

Core Principles

  • On-device workflow: Screenshots and edits are stored on your Mac.
  • No network access: The app is designed not to connect to the internet.
  • No analytics or tracking: We do not collect usage metrics, identifiers, or crash analytics.

What Screen Snip Does Not Do

  • It does not upload your screenshots to cloud services.
  • It does not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
  • It does not sell or share personal data.
  • It does not maintain external servers for your screenshot content.

Permissions

Screen Snip may request macOS permissions such as Screen Recording and, where required for its workflow, Accessibility. These permissions are used locally so the app can capture the screen and support its shortcut-driven experience. Granting those permissions does not cause your screenshots to be transmitted anywhere.

Your Choices

You control where screenshots are saved, whether copy actions also save to disk, and when content is exported or shared. If you use macOS share features or manually move files elsewhere, that action happens because you initiated it.

Children's Privacy

Screen Snip does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes in a material way, the update date on this page will be changed and the revised policy will be published with the app website or repository.
